Bowen's first experience meeting Santa Claus wasn't exactly traditional. Even so, I think it counts all the same. Stewart and I had been wanting to check out the Hyde Park Christmas market for a while and had read that Santa would be available for pictures. So, a couple weeks before Christmas, we got Bowen all bundled up and walked over. To our surprise, the market was really great with lots of yummy food and beer! So yummy, in fact, that Stewart and I got a bit side tracked and Bowen's picture with Santa kept getting delayed. By the time we made our way over to the children's area, the line to meet Santa was super long! Darn. But then, incredibly, as we were walking away, Santa (who ended up looking far more like Father Christmas or St Nicholas!) decided to take a break to go "feed his reindeer". As he walked past us, he graciously agreed to pose for a picture with Stewart and Bowen (see below)! What great luck. It was the perfect ending to a great day!
