little h

my gorgeous boy turns 10 months tomorrow. i won't let myself start thinking about his first birthday just yet - i'm in complete denial that it's coming so quickly. this little boy is just a dream and i know i talk all the time about what a sweetheart he is, but it's true. he's clapping and waving now and just loves to play. one of his favorite things to do is to help 'tidy' by putting things back into their containers and i never tire watching him do it! he also LOVES his sister and after their nap each day, i put him down on the floor and say 'where's bowen? let's find bowen' and he crawls over to her room and pushes the door open! then he gets so excited to see her and starts giggling. so sweet. we've also noticed lately that when we put b's current favorite song on - sweet escape by gwen stefani :) - he starts dancing (moving) to the beat and smiling. they both just love that song - ha! nothing seems to bother this little guy - he's just so laid back. when i put him to bed at night, he finishes his milk and then we have a cuddle. he looks up at me in the dark, we smile at each other and then we both giggle and he burrows into my chest. happy happy happy.

oh, will you stay my little boy forever, henry?

i love you so. momma xo

Big Ben

After our travels last weekend, Stew took the Monday off work so we could spend some time together with the kids. We also had new carpet being installed in our living room that day and had to be out of the house, so it worked perfectly to take the day for a family outing! We decided to hit up the London Aquarium which is just across the river from Westminster, Parliament, and Big Ben. I won't go into major detail, but lets just say the aquarium is not one of London's bright spots (IMHO). It's v dark with narrow walkways - something of a labyrinth. It did not surprise me when this did not sit well with Bowen, nor did I blame her! So, that experience was fairly short lived. Despite the aquarium being a bit of a bust, the day itself was so relaxing and a wonderful experience. Bowen rode the train both ways in her very own seat, which was very exciting for her. She was commenting on everything and everyone - we were hopeful not everyone heard what she was saying! She often likes to talk about people who she thinks have babies in their tummy's - and most of these people did NOT! Once we got to Westminster, she was happy to hold my hand and walk, so we let her walk the entire way to the aquarium. We stopped on the bridge to talk about Big Ben and listen to the chimes. She shocked us this week, by recounting this experience and the music she heard at "Big Ben - a big clock"! She loved seeing the River Thames and was generally very interested and enthralled by everything. It was a great day out and in addition, we got lots of fun 'London' shots with Bowen! Enjoy... xo

Weekend in Paris

Wow, we had such a fun time away in Paris this past weekend! A well overdue night off for Stew & me and it was just too amazing to meet up with our old friends Jenny & Ethan who were there from NYC - so much FUN!! We basically laughed, talked, ate, drank and slept our 36 hours away from the kids and it was awesome. We were in the perfect location with great friends - what more can you ask for?! Oh and if you ever get the chance to hit up Le Lucha Libre for a late night - we would totally recommend it - too too too fun and hilarious. Yeah WWE! ha :)

Jenny/Ethan, miss you guys already!

Kisses to the kids... xo

Happy Valentine's Day!

Could our Valentines be any cuter?!

Hope your day is filled with lots and lots of love... xoxo

v day treats!

Valentine's Day treats are such fun and I have to admit, I get super excited about them! Here's what awaited B & H when they woke this morning...

B received a pretty pink and red night gown (her first!), two metal baking pans for her kitchen and a box of 'Bowen's Biscuits' which I made and baked out of FIMO clay! They were so much fun to make! As suspected, they were a huge hit and I know they will make a nice contribution to the kitchen as well.

H received a soft red fire engine, a teething ring (to help with the teeth that should be coming soon!) and 2 adorable board books that are new favorites of mine - I LOVE MY DADDY and I LOVE MY MUMMY by Sebastien Braun. They are very simple but so touching and the illustrations are beautiful.

We have a special play date planned for this afternoon with Jill, Esme & Paloma as it's term break and there is no ballet. We're going to bake and ice some real Valentine's sugar cookies! B is super excited and keeps shaking the sprinkles containers with anticipation!!

We love spoiling our sweet Valentines! xoxo

SNOW

Such a fun morning out in the snow last weekend and I think these pics show it! Bowen loved it and the sled was a big hit. Poor H was so bundled he could hardly move, but I think he enjoyed it too. :)

Enjoy the pics! xo
