The kitchen in our flat has a very Mediterranean, rustic feel and we love it. It's a very open, airy space and feels really workable, even if it does mean sacrificing some modern conveniences! Instead of cabinetry on the upper walls, we have these beautiful tiled areas and Bowen LOVES them! She just stares at her "paintings" (as we now call them) and smiles away. Lots of times, when we're walking through the kitchen, she'll crane her neck just to keep looking at them. It must be the bold, bright colors against the white background that keep her so fascinated.
Here's to the appreciation of beautiful art, at any age!
